What Must I do Now ?

With non-stop bad news coming from all the media that you can think of during the past few days, it clearly tells you that whatever income you are generating from a single source can be easily compromised.

For instance, if I am working for a huge company that was already in the news about its financial situation then I would be very worried about what must I do next. You cannot possibly be always "hoping" that everything will be fine. Look at Lehman Brother which has collapse, who would expect it to happen so suddenly ?

As the world financial woes takes root, more companies will find ways to enlighten their financial burden as such they will off-load those people who are considered "redundant" and "non-profitable" to the company. Its like in the old days, when a ship is encountering a very serious storm and in order not get sunk, they start to throw away those least important inventories so as to lighten the load of the ship.

What's make you so sure you are not the next person ? We must not delude ourselves that the situation will be better in the short term as no one can predict what is happening right now. Instead, I will look for an alternative way of making money so that I will not be caught in a dead end situation.

There are plenty of opportunities out there for the grabbing. Take up those jobs that the government claims we do not want, or we can identify what strong niche we have and offer it to those in need of that service, or we can start a small and simple business that does not need a high overhead to begin with. Most important of all, we must be willing to ask around for these opportunities and when you have it, you must be willing to learn.

The only way to become what you want to become is to DO IT and to take consistent action on your hopes, goals, dreams and desires. Inaction is what keeps you stuck in where you are. So, learn to raise yourself from Inaction to In Action !

Why Do I need a Business

TIME and MONEY
In our society, money is an object we all naturally desire. Being a wealthy individual is someone we aspire to be not because we are selfish or greedy, but because we want to be financially free.

In this day and age, quality living basically means Time and Money. Whatever you want to have in life, and whatever you want to do in life depends very much on these Two factors.

We need money to buy food, clothes and our home. We spent money either directly or indirectly whether we like it or not. We need to buy products such as toothbrush, shampoo or cleaning detergents for our home. We also need to pay for the electricity and the water we use. When we travel to work via public transport or drive our own car, we also need to spend money. Living involves money.

Time is a resource that keeps on moving and waits for no man. Everyone of us has 24 hours a day, no more and no less. Once we lose it, we can never get it back. Therefore, it is a very precious commodity that needs to be treasured. Living involves Time.

What are the Ways of Getting Money ??

Getting a Job
This is the most common and popular way to make money.

Over time, many are taught to believe that this is the best way to earn a living, and not to expect too much in life. They are not taught how to work toward a quality life.

From young, most people are told to study hard in school, get good grades to get a certificate or degree, so that they can get a good job.

When they got their first job, they soon realized that they should not be too ambitious or take too many risks in life. A good job is enough for them to survive. If they want more, they should work hard to climb the corporate ladder to a higher position.

What they failed to realized is that, as one goes higher up the corporate ladder, the more stress, headaches and politics they will encounter along the way. Frustration sets in when one does not gets the position he is aiming for. These stress and frustrations eventually affects the health of the person.

Some studies over the years on working people is not very encouraging. In fact, more elderly people still working because they do not have enough money to live comfortably.

“Job Security” is no longer an attractive word as we can see more people are getting laid off in their job with or without valid reasons.

With the emergence of Information Technology, many people are losing their jobs because the company they work for decide to re-define the work itself. E.g. tele-working, outsourcing, job sharing and so on.

Start a small business
There are many reasons why people also want to start a business and most of them really think they can make it big alone and also gaining some control of their future. Usually, they find it exciting but this is where the rollercoaster rides begins.....
